MEETING
The principles of multiplication are founded on biblical doctrine. The headship of Christ over his church, the sufficiency of Scripture, and the conviction of regenerate membership enable the New Testament priesthood to discern the Groom’s expectation for the bride and march to his cadence in mission.
You are invited to gather with us as we explore these doctrines and consider corresponding church and church planting practice.
The workshop format is designed for interaction among practitioners, celebration of biblical truth and prayerful planning as we advance the church and seek to multiply.
Who is invited?
Any person who is actively engaged in disciple making with a desire to learn together on the biblical basis for pursuing healthy and mature ecclesiology as we engage in "the work". By "the work" we are referencing the core pattern of Kingdom expansion as seen by Jesus (example Luke 8-10), and the apostles (example Acts 13-14). This is the pattern of: Entry, Gospel, Discipleship, Church formation and Leadership Development. We welcome children, however there will not be childcare provided.
Why is this important?
The Bay Area is lost. More than 7.5 million people are far from God. Church multiplication is rare here, yet we continue to pray for it, labor for it, and call people to it. At the same time, we have to ask: are there things we are doing in our churches that may be unknowingly hindering multiplication?
Who is teaching?
Nathan Shank of the International Mission Board joins us. After serving 20+ years as a missionary in South Asia, Nathan has witnessed remarkable movements of God firsthand. The missionary cluster he served with has influenced thousands around the world to be deeply rooted in Scripture and to follow the patterns of multiplication found in God’s Word. Nathan will be joined by local practitioners and others who are passionate about healthy churches and the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
